Enjoy sailing the crystal, clear waters of the Tyrrhenian sea from the port of Tropea with our local friend and fisherman Francesco and enjoy local seafood dishes from your day’s catch.
A native from Tropea and experienced fisherman, Francesco Delorenzo was practically born sailing the waters of Tropea. A retired physical education professor has now dedicated his life to sailing the Calabrian coast and fishing most mornings.
Morning and afternoon sailing excursions are available to Capo Vaticano from the port of Tropea.
Day Schedule
- Pick up time is at 10.30 am.
- We’ll meet at the port of Tropea and then from there, you’ll meet your skipper before you set sail to Capo Vaticano.
- Arrive at the cape and enjoy your visit by either swimming, snorkeling or relaxing on the deck in front of the granite cliffs and grottos of this beautiful destination. Your sailing excursion includes home cooked seafood lunch prepared on board by your skipper Francesco. Plenty of wine included.
Sunset Sail in Tropea Calabria
Late afternoon sailing excursions start at 5pm and include a light buffet meal with wine and prosecco.
Your meal is served as you watch the sunset over Tropea’s historic center.
Fishing Excursion
Learn to catch the local fish found in the crystal, clear waters of Tropea. On board you will learn the techniques of fishing with a local fisherman. Francesco your skipper will prepare your catch of the day and a fantastic lunch to follow as you gaze at the magnificent views of Tropea from your boat.
If you require an English speaking guide, a price of 100 euro is required.
